Brief Chinese Nursery Course
As a parent you will want to be assured that your children’s future is well planned with educational stability and stimulation for the developing child. In the shrinking world of globalize trade, the ability to speak Chinese can make a substantial difference to your child’s future. Chinese Language skills are worth investing in. China has the biggest population in the world and the fourth largest economy; they play a vital role in the world stage of the 21st Century. China is expected to have the largest economy in the world in the foreseeable future. For every person who can speak English, there are at least three who can speak Chinese. The philosophy for our Chinese Nursery Course is that we firmly believe that the development of small children is best fostered through fun and play. We provide structured play through which the interest and curiosity of children is stimulated, the result of which is learning. Our aims are to help children build the Chinese language foundations for a lifetime of creative learning. We believe that each child is unique and should be helped to develop his or her fullest potential. Our open door policy, we encourage parental involvement with the Nursery and look forward to being partners with you in this important phase of your child's life. Parents feel free to talk to teachers and staff.

Nursery Course will include:

  • Simple 50 Chinese characters
  • Pronunciation
  • Strokes
  • Playing games and creating crafts
  • Singing, music and dance
  • Traditional stories
  • Festivals
  • 12 symbolic animals of the Chinese calendar

Foundation 1 Course includes:

  • 100 Chinese characters, starting from outlining radicals and strokes
  • Pronunciation
  • Building vocabulary
  • Playing games and crafts
  • Singing, music and dance
  • Traditional stories
  • Chinese IT

Foundation 2 Course includes:

  • 150 Chinese characters, Systems of writing
  • pronunciation
  • building vocabulary
  • develop basic grammatical pattern
  • Traditional stories
  • Chinese moral codes and Philosophies
  • Chinese civilization
  • Chinese IT

Outdoor Play
Outdoor play (weather permitting) - Racing track, games on the lawns and modern playground is available. A healthy lifestyle is part of our children policy. All teachers will encourage our children take part in games and sharing activities with other students.

The early years are critical and children should have every chance to strengthen positive attitudes towards Chinese learning during those years. We aim to provide the child with pictures, objects, materials, singing, dance and game activities which are especially suited to his or her needs at each stage of development.

An opportunity for wider community to learn Chinese
Each teacher is accompanied by classroom assistant in her class. We encourage the local High School children to join our classroom assistant voluntary work. They play an important and activity role with children and learning Chinese language at the same time. We treat the young people as equal learning partners. The young volunteer will naturally foster a good friendship with the teacher and the children.

Planner
Each child has a school planner to record information regarding each lessons - home work, the children’s progress comments which parents and teachers can exchange information. Home work is critical- especially since Chinese writing demands lot of practice. In the early years, children should have every chance to strengthen positive attitudes towards learning during those times.

Extra practice available:
Students can learn and practice Chinese Language together. Good for practicing after the class or could practice at the Chinese and English Exchange Corner with Chinese speakers. Sunday 11-1pm. Chinese IT homework email system is available for children
