National Chinese Examinations
中文會考班GCSE & A Level
These exams allow the students’ skills in the Chinese language to be officially recognized. At our Centre there are three qualifications, Edexcel Chinese GCSE, Edexcel AS-level and Edexcel A2-level. At GCSE a student would need advanced skills in writing, reading, listening and speaking. At A-level, students must be able to translate both English and Chinese languages, have an extensive knowledge of the culture, geography and history. You are also required to study Chinese literature. A 500-1000 word essay will be written at A2-Level, based on one of these topics. After the national exams student will be able to enter for the Community Interpreting Course Level 1 – 3 or take apart in our Youth Ambassadors project. Community Interpreting Course
翻譯培訓課程
Interpreting Course Level 1, 2, and 3 are available at our school. This course is supported by WEA. Free for youth without income. The Community Interpreter course recognise and accredit bi-lingual skills, increasing basic skills levels in the community, and giving people the confidence to progress to further study and employment.

Chinese Computer Course
國語電腦班
The ability to communicate using Chinese characters can also be very useful there are classes aimed at over 5’s and over 16 years olds. They needn’t have learnt Chinese in the past as this will provide a sufficient understanding of Chinese characters. They will learn through the Chinese Pin Yin program, and after they are 16 they can then learn how to translate and email using the computer.
