Manchester Chinese Centre is non-profit making, non-political and non-religious, charitable organization. It is committed to providing the community service for Chinese speakers and people who are interested in Chinese Culture, such as Education, Drop-in service. Manchester Chinese Centre runs a Supplementary School, a Sport Club, an Art society and an information service centre.
Regular Activities 活動
The Manchester Community Information Service Centre provides free Sign
Post Services in the areas such as Domestic violence, Education, Job,
Welfare, housing, etc. It also provides Community interpreting services
to people who speak Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka and those who do not
know English.
We are national EDEXCEL Examination Centre and co-operate with local organizations and City council and WEA to provide supplementary schools for Children and Adult education such as Chinese Languages, ESOL English, ESOL Computer, Language Exchange Project, Chinese Arts and Culture, Food Hygiene courses etc.
We also work together with mainstream schools or as a partnership with other organizations to provide different Chinese Cultured Workshops and performances including dance, paper craft, Chinese Calligraphy, Martial Arts, etc to raise the Chinese Culture Awareness to both the Chinese and the Local Community.
The Sports Club aims to promote a healthier life style through practicing Tai Chi, Chinese Martial Arts, traditional Chinese keep fit dance, Badminton and fitness activities.
The Charity's Objects 民間慈善機講目的
- To integrate Chinese people, refugees and immigrants within activities to develop their capacity and skills, allowing them to participate fully in the society
- To advance the education of both Chinese and local people of all ages by providing language, Tai Chi and other courses
- To provide a better knowledge of Chinese culture and history to people from all ethical groups
- To provide business with information and advices for easier access to partnership work with China
- To provide assistance to the Chinese community to set up practices within Manchester with the aid of different Chinese linguistic communications
- To build a better relationship between the Chinese community and Local Authority

When participating in MCC course and activities, the following behaviour is expected of all staff, students and members:
- Act in a responsible way to safeguard your own health and safety and that of others in the line with the MCC Health and Safety Policy.
- Act in a responsible manner to keep our Centre clean and tidy.
- Respect the different backgrounds, experiences and lifestyles of others.
- Act in ways which do not discriminate against people of different backgrounds in the line with the MCC Equality and Diversity Policy.
- Do not use language which could offend others, e.g. racist, sexist, homophobic, ageist, or language offensive to people with a disability.
- If you feel you have been treated with a lack of respect, have been harassed, or discriminated against, contact either your course tutor or the MCC staff; our staff can speak Haka, Cantonese, Mandarin and English. They will follow this up with you.
- If you are using computers for your lesson, you will also be given a further Student Computer Use Policy, already displayed in the computer room.

華人之家是一個非利機講, 非政治和非信奉宗教的民間慈善組織. 它的宗旨是提供社區服務給一些華人和對中華文化感興趣的人, 如: 教育, DROP-IN服務.
華人之家趨向變成一所附加的學校, 運動俱樂部, 美術中心和信息服務中心.
華人之家的信息服務中心在區內提供免費的路標服務, 如: 家庭暴力, 教育, 工作, 福利, 住宅等等. 它也提供免費翻譯國語, 廣東話, 客家話和服務不懂英語的人 (口譯及筆譯).
華 人之家是一個國家的EDEXCEL考試中心和本地組織的CO-OPERATES和城市評議會一起提供給兒童和成人教育的附加學校, 有中國語言, 操控其他語言者的英語課程( ESOL ENGLISH), ESOL電腦班, 語言交流計劃, 中華美術和文化, 食物衛生課程等等.
華人之家也跟一些主流學校和一些組織合作提供不同的中華文化研討會和表演包括舞蹈, 紙張手藝, 中文書法, 武術等提高華人和本地人對中國文化的認識.
華人之家的運動俱樂部的目的是為了透過太極, 中國武術, 中國民族舞蹈 , 羽毛球和適當的運動去發揚更健康的生活方式. 美術中心和其他合夥組織在本地創辦了很多不同的表演和活動, 像舞蹈, 摺紙藝術, 書法等.
